Mission

Nebraska Health Careers is a multi-disciplinary, interactive website designed to promote the array of health professions available to students considering a career in the growing field of healthcare.  It is our goal to provide reliable, up-to-date information about healthcare careers and to highlight the educational opportunities available in Nebraska.

 

Funding

The initial funding for this project was provided by the Nebraska Medical Association Alliance Foundation [NMAAF] and the Nebraska Medical Association Foundation [NMAF]. The mission of both organizations is to promote activities that improve the health and well being of all Nebraskans. Nebraska, like many states, is experiencing a shortage of trained healthcare professionals, especially in rural areas and underserved urban communities. NMAAF and NMAF provided the initial funding for this project to encourage our youth to consider choosing a career in healthcare, addressing not only a community need but providing these youth with a lifetime of marketable skills and opportunities for continued professional growth.
